What is vermicompost?
Vermicompost is a compost which is obtained by decomposition of organic matter( animal manure, kitchen waste) using worms, usually red wigglers worms. In India Eisenia Fetida worms are generally used for vermicomposting process. Also known as worm casting, it is used as an organic fertilizer for plants because it contains water soluble nutrients which is relatively easy for plants to absorb.
